I also think that making your self more accessible to the general public in a genuine manor, it makes you seem more in touch with your clients, fans, and the world. It shows that you actually care about issues because you may not be getting pay per say for the blog, maybe it does produce revenue but the intent is to get your ideas out and connect with people. Making your self seem like one of the guys. Which I think is greatly exhibited by your brother. As an owner he has really revolutionized the position. Tell me next time you see Mr. Steinbrenner in a Yankee T shirt sitting among the fans all fired up. Great piece I am new to the site and look forward to reading more and trying to be a part of the site.

I would like to act surprised but as a veteran web developer I know that 98% of my clients believe that I write content for their sites as well including it in their price. From this perspective I can sort of see the need/reason for ghost bloggers but I agree its bull$h!t. Its similar to hiring a celebrity impersonator... whats the point?

I couldn't AGREE MORE Brian. I am floored at not just attorney's and not just blogs. Companies across the board are paying agencies, etc. to blog, tweet, etc. for them. If you cannot be bothered to blog or tweet about your own brand, then why on earth do you think people would care about you or your brand? You obviously don't care enough to waste your own time on your own blog or twitter feed so why should we? Sadly it's the nature of the web, why bother to understand it, or even put the effort into it, just throw some money at it, and hope you see some return.

Thanks.
