Who feels sorry for Ellen Degeneres. I dont. I certainly feel sorry for the individual she gave her dog to and then who had it subsequently”repossessed” by “Mutts and Mom” because Ellen had violated the adoption contract.

The contract(which by the way, practically all adoption contracts have thislanguage) stated that if the dog did not work out within a specific time, it had to be returned to the agency.

Ellen violated the agreement but giving the dog to her friend without the consent of the agency. Ellen then goes on her show and makes a public plea that the dog be returned to her friend. The dog has been subsequently placed in a new home.

I am absolutely on the side of the agency and it is Ellen who ultimately prevented her friend from keeping the dog, not the agency.

If Ellen had read her contract and not used the show as leverage, this probably would have gone differently. If she had quietly gone to the agency and explained the situation, the agency would have probably checked out the new family and may have approved them. All would have ended well.

Ellen,in true diva and Paris Hilton “I dont read my agreements” fashion made it all about her in using media strong arm tactics which resulted in death threats and overall negativity to the animal shelter which is only trying to do the right thing for the animal which does not have a choice. She seems to have forgotten that it is about long term placement of the animal.

For Ellen to claim this this has all gotten out of hand and was not what she intended seems dis-ingenuous. It went EXACTLY as she intended.

She just did not get the result she wanted……
