great post, next time I'm at blockbuster...I'm renting Schlinder's list! It just never sounded interesting to me. That's probably because I knew nothing about it. Thanks...

I have to say that I am constantly surprised when people actually try to say that the Holocaust never happened. It scares me to think there are people who think it's ok to ignore such horrible treatment of human beings. The thing is... all people are different. No one group of people have the same belief system. It makes no sense to me that one group thinks that they are superior to another. Who gave them the right? In what world are they living that because you believe in Christ that gives you carte blanch to kill his chosen flock? The funny thing is... I was born in Hawaii, grew up in Vegas and now live in Texas. My mother is from South Carolina (hardcore Baptist). My father was raised Catholic. My Popo from Canton, China was Buddist. My step-mother is Presbyterian. When you grow up in a group like that it is easy to take the best parts of all of them and make your own combination. I guess it all boils down to being open minded and understanding that you aren't the only person in the world. What is right for you may not be right for someone else.

I just want to note, that while this was one of the worst events in human history, people often don't know the full story. We need to remember that 6 million Jews were not all of the people Hitler killed. In total it is estimated that almost 15 million died under his rein, a good portion being gypsies from the early Romanian families. Please remember them too.
