I did not see the movie, but from what I read it was based on a true event. Whether that event portrays America as good or bad shouldn't matter. O'Reilly calling for Mark to be jailed is absurd. The whole point of this country is to be allowed to be critical of the government (which includes the military). Just because you don't like the criticism doesn't mean you can send the guy to jail. I can see boycotting the movie. I can see speaking out against the movie. But to say that the movie will cause, like actually cause, American soldiers to die is a bit of a stretch. One final thought, it would have been proper reporting if O'Reilly would have told his audience about the other things Mark has done for the troops (aka Fallen Patriot Fund). Those extreme reactions are all around us. Consider the recent death threats against the families, including the children, and protests at the homes of bankers' who received bonuses after govt. bailouts and those reactions came simply from reports from main stream media. Yet we didn't even know the entire story behind the bonuses. What was initially reported lacked significant facts. We've become an extreme, reactionary society. No need to blame one man or one network. It is all around us. As individuals we have lost our self-control.
