It is one thing for Helen Thomas, an almost 90 year old White House correspondent to have extreme politics but it seems to be time for her to call it a career and retire to an old age home for anti-Semitic morons.
While perusing a site called the Jewish Internet Defense Force, I came across of video of Ms. Thomas expressing her views on the the Palestinian conflict. I don’t agree with them but this is America and she is entitled to her opinion. I was however stunned when to make her point, she suggested that Jews in that territory go back to Poland and Germany. Even someone of as advanced age as Helen should realize the Holocaust imagery of such a statement. She is in fact, old enough to have actual recollection of the events unless she is also going the route of being a Holocaust Denier in addition to her other anti-Semitic viewpoints. In case Helen is not aware, about 3 million Jews were murdered in Poland alone.
Her statement is so bizarre and outrageous that one could conclude that Helen Thomas is either ignorant, anti-Semitic and/or senile. Either way its time for her to retire and be denied access to the White House. She could use her free time for a trip to Auschwitz in Poland so she can get a refresher on what happened to the Jews in Poland and Germany. Not that she cares. If anyone needs to go home, its Helen Thomas, or to a home, and stay there…

My Jewish family is from Istanbul … not quite sure that's the safest place for me to return right now … but Germany? The center of Jewish life for centuries has been Baghdad, with Yemen and Spain and Morocco also holding down very large populations. (I'm up for going to Yemen with all of the cute guys there, actually.)
But, Brian, you're right – she needs to retire & Thomas definitely needs to get her information straight. No wonder American media is so worthless and laughed upon by all around the World.

My apologies, but she doesn't deserve to be excused at a minimum. She made a deliberate expression and her intense rooted and emotions towards Jews. Regardless of her age, it is inexcusable and it was not a product of senility. Helen Thomas made the mistake to publicly state her hidden anti-semitic, ignorant self in full heart and mind. Don't be surprise if she enters a rehab center and/or claims she was given Sodium thiopental or the like.
